What Happens When You Call?

  • Your call connects to the GBV Helpline Central Unit in Gilgit.
  •  A trained officer listens, offers guidance, and records the details confidentially.
  • The case is forwarded to the relevant district police station for immediate response.

The GBV Helpline is run under Police Department of Gilgit-Baltistan, a Central Unit will be established in Gilgit city where all reports will be received and later they will refer the cases to the concerned district police stations ensuring that all reports are handled promptly and effectively by the appropriate law enforcement authorities. The GBV Helpline is currently available in four districts of Gilgit-Baltistan Gilgit, Hunza, Nagar, and Ghizer as part of its initial roll out.
